‘A heartfelt picture book about celebrating individuality.‘
– The One and Only You

[ About The One and Only You ]
Take an incredible trip across space and time to discover just how special YOU are.
In this whole wide world of people and animals,
and plants and flowers,
and oceans and lakes,
and so, so many things,
there is only one YOU.
[ My Review ]
The One and Only You is written by Shane Hegarty and illustrated by Ben Mantle. Published today, March 27th, with Hodder Children’s Books it is described as a ‘new uplifting story about celebrating individuality, from this stellar picture-book duo’.
In the current climate, books that encourage children to be themselves are vital. With beautifully striking illustrations and very accessible words, Hegarty and Mantle have created a gorgeous children’s book that encourages and promotes individuality, helping smaller kids to realise how very special they are.
Packed full with colourful pictures of whales who sing songs across seas, of scurrying mice, buzzing insects, flitting fish and so much more, all are brought to life by the fabulous imagination of these two wonderful creators.
The One and Only You is a positivity-endorsing book that both children and their carers will adore. It’s strength is in the simplicity of its message, highlighting that there is nobody like YOU, YOU are special and it is so very important to always celebrate YOU.
Thank you to Plunkett PR for a copy of The One and Only You in exchange for my honest review.
